GIS Data

This site is an access point for GIS data produced by the Landscape Dynamics Lab. Previous versions of this site also contained many additional layers that we didn't produce, but at the time, we were one of the only people serving GIS data online. Because there are now other, more appropriate online sources for those data with better documentation, we have stopped serving data that is not ours. We provide you with links to sites where you can find all of the data that used to be listed on this site.

LDL Data

Currently, the only data we have online is for the Idaho Gap Analysis project. You can download ID-GAP data and metadata from the ID-GAP Data page.

If you are interested in data layers from other LDL projects, please contact the project leader. Many of the other project data layers may not be fully documented, and we cannot be responsible for any consequences of their use or misuse.

Latah Data

Data available for Latah county (primarily information produced by the Idaho Gap Analysis project and clipped to the county boundary) can be downloaded from the Latah page.

Other Data

All of the other data that was previously listed on the LDL Data Page can be downloaded from one or more of the following sources:

	INSIDE Idaho provides access to the University of Idaho Library's digital numeric and geospatial data holdings as well as links to data from other sources. This is the most comprehensive collection of online data available for Idaho and is a good first stop when looking for data.
	Idaho Department of Water Resources maintains a list of Idaho GIS data downloads and links to other sources for GIS data. This one is also worth a look.
	The National Atlas is a good source for many nationwide data layers. Many of the layers here are pretty general and at broad scales, but there's some good stuff here. Breeding Bird Survey Routes (on the last version of this page) are available here.
